For me, thats hard to say. Ive been away from Vizzed for a long time, and upon returning now seeing all the announcements, theres a fine line to define whether he goes overboard or not. If he was anywhere over 300, maybe its a little too much? I left out of lack of interest about a year or so ago, so by seeing he only had about between 100-200, it might not be so bad.

Like others said, its good to have the admin letting us know up to date about these things. Its also good he has this site still kicking, because now Im interested in downloading the ROM to play the games again.

I'm not sure how it's a negative having someone that does giveaways and the like. He does so to try to get more activity in a certain area. People complain about not having enough viz, these are the prime examples on how easy it is to get.

I personally think its a GREAT idea that he's starting to give cash prizes away for some of the contests.

The Viz competitions and giveaways for Viz are not much as he can never run out of viz, the real life giveaways can only be given to people in the US, or anywhere else it is allowed by the law. Since I'm from Australia, I can not receive these items due to the law, and vizzed isn't above or in the law so they can't do anything to help me.

I think he's doing fine with the monthly contests. Winning cash for playing games; that's pretty cool stuff! But hey, more is always better! The donations have been the same for a while though. I'm surprised their isn't 5 - 10 dollar donations everyday, I'm gonna donate about $15 when my paypal has money in it.

Unlike a lot of site owners, I'm not greedy. A lot of site owners out there are in it just for the money and they could care less about their users (as to why you see so many site's with fees of some sort or excessive ads).

Since I don't invest money into the RGR Plugin anymore, I have some extra spending cahs and I owe it to the users who have been loyal to the site and I think giving away cash prizes is a great way to give back to the community. Plus, it encourages way more users to participate in the competitions and that makes the competitions more fun to compete in.

I'll be giving out a lot of money in the Pokemon contest but I doubt I'll hold a competition of this size more than once or twice a year. I do have something special planned for one of next months' RGR competitions which I'm pretty excited about, it'll be the first time the prize isn't cash but something that I'll actually ship to the user who wins.

Which reminds me, I need to do 1 or 2 more netplay game nights before summer ends, the one I did early June was a lot of fun.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
