Hey community of vizzed. It is me general spleen here with another original poem for you all to enjoy. Now you all probably noticed I made a poll. Basically I want to hear from you guys what type of poem you would want me to write about next. The next poem I write after I post one more will be what you guys wanted me to write about. So choose wisely Anyways my poem this time is about the scars people carry around with them throughout their life. Some physical, emotional, and mental... but scars none the less. I got inspiration from the band Rise Against from their song Savior. I hope you guys enjoy Here it is. I title is simply Scars:


It kills me not to know this but I've all but just forgotten,
What the color of her eyes were, and the scars of how she got them.
As the telling signs of age rain down and not a single tear is droppin.
In the valley of an aging face that this world has forgotten.

So many scars in every one's life.
Some are so deep that they cut like a knife.
Do you think buying new things will fill these scars,
When the weight they carry weighs more then a million cars?

You can't fill your cup until you empty all it has.
You can't understand what lays ahead if you don't understand the past.
These scars we bare made us who we are today.
So live life to the fullest because your not promised another day.
