Did you know that in Star Fox 64 that the more ships that you shoot down in a level
the more your allies are healed? I was trying to think of a logical explanation for this and
here's what I came up with:

Great Fox travels through the levels Behind Star Fox team.
When ships get shot down, Great Fox intercepts the srapnel, which is used
to repair the Arwings. What do you think?

Plausible, but what if you shot nothing down in the level aside from the boss and whatever is needed to keep your allies alive? Would they (and you) recover an unnoticeable amount of health from the limited kills, or would it still be at least one extra hit for them to take?

Also, the repairs technically happen while they're still flying over the planet. They hadn't returned to the Great Fox quite yet, unless there's some invisible refueling line going from the Great Fox to the Arwings and that's doing the repairs.

I think that it would make more sense if the sooner your allies got shot out, the
more of their health is recovered.

For some reason, Fox's ship is allways fully repaired after each mission.

You think that he has a spare Arwing that he swaps back and forth from
in between missions?

EDIT: forth, not fourth.

ugh.

I'm glad that you're still here in the Star Fox forums.
I may run out of thread ideas however. I'm still trying to keep this forum alive.

Must. . . not. . . let. . . it. . . die. . .

EDIT AGAIN: you're not your!

Sword legion : That would make more sense, but it seems like repairs always take time. In 64, whoever gets shot down is removed for the remainder of the current mission and the entirety of the next mission, with the exception of if you let Slippy get knocked to Titania, in which case he's out of commission until you free him from the boss.

I do know that it's possible for allies to get shot down in Assault, but I let it happen so infrequently that I don't remember if they come back fully repaired in the next mission or if the same rules as 64 apply. (Funny that you can never kill your allies when they're on foot, though; no matter how much you shoot them in the face with your blaster, they never run out of HP.)

And your theory of Fox always having an Arwing to swap back and forth from would hold true... if the ship wasn't fully repaired at 0 lives remaining. He probably repairs his ship himself and is more adept at it than the others, so he always gets his back to mint condition no matter the situation. Probably hogs all the spare parts, too.

And yeah, I'm sticking around as much as I can. Still waiting to continue my section of the RP.

Yeah, my allies never get shot down anymore either.

Sorry about my late responce for the Rp.
I had a huge post ready for it and I submitted it, but the connection to Vizzed was bad and I
lost the whole post.

So I'm back on this mourning to retype it out. I appreciate the patience!
