Ash is the biggest cheater ever. Even though it was to make the show more interesting he basically cheated at every gym.

I think thats only if you are using the game worlds rules.
The series obviously follows different rules then the game world, so to expect it to iss silly.
Ash hasnt really cheated, he has faced real world situations and gotten some outcomes that would happen in a world like the one he occupies.

Plus as I think I have said before, every Gym has its own rules and judge, do you really think they would let some little punk kid get away with cheating when they dont let others cheat?

Ash HELPED almost all the gym leaders just like Treecko 890 said!!! So Ash is NOT a CHEATER!!!

two points here:

1. I severely doubt Ash is a cheater, although during his first gym battle he kinda did cheat a little with the sprinklers, but then he only had pikachu then if I remember correctly so I'll let that slide

2. about Ash being a pedophile, didn't he start his "journey" when he was like 10? And I remember watching a special episode about the pokemon instead of the trainers (ya know, the ones where they refuse to show the trainers faces?) where Ash said it was the one year anniversary of when he first met pikachu, so seeing that he met pikachu on his birthday that would make him 11, and also I remember that came out around a few months before pokemon 2000 came out so yeah, do the math, Ash can't even drive yet

Interesting, my little brother was interested in Pokemon, and I was kind of a jerk/sceptic, saying how nothing made sense compared to the game. Then again, these are elemental animals that are pitted against each other in combat in another universe.

The reason Ash hasn't won all his battles fairly, it makes the show interesting. Imagine how boring it would be if they didn't change it up every once in a while.

If I were a gym leader the only way you could get a badge from me would be to beat me fair and square. The point of the badges is to show you are ready for league. If you save my pokemon from dying or whatever, sure you're a great person, but that doesn't mean your pokemon are strong enough for the league and for their sakes, I wouldn't just let you slide by.

That is Ash's duty to be the easy winner. He is the main hero and needs easy wins to make the story continue.

The first few gyms were a bit cheating, but the Sinnoh Gyms are real battles, I dunno about Johto and Hoenn as I haven't watched those.

That aside, I don't think that Ash is a cheater. So he used the fire hydrant in his battle against Brock. It's called using unorthodox methods to win. Meowth did the same thing with a bucket of water in the tournament to decide who would get togepi, and they definitely would have called him on it, so it is safe to say that in the anime, using the environment is fair game.

As for getting his badges without battling, some of those actually were battles, just not against the leader. Plus, it's the leader's gym and it's up to them who gets the badges, so they gave them to Ash of their own free will, because they believed he had earned them. Not to mention the fact that what he did to get them wasn't exactly a piece of cake either, thanks to his Pokemon that never seem to grow.

I know it's been a long time since this was brought up, but regarding Ash's father, why hasn't anyone mentioned Riley? Hello, adult trainer with black hair who can also use aura? Coincidence? I think not. Perhaps I'm right and it will be revealed in the anime soon. Of course, then there would be nothing about which to speculate, so they're obviously not going to do that if they think about it .

Pikachu didnt want to elvolve because it wanted to beat st. Surge in the form it was in and bring respect to the pikachus and ash.(Ash gave it the choice to elvolve or to stay like that and pikachu hit the stone out of ashes hand with its tail)

I don't think that Ash should have won half his kanto battles. If you think about it, tens of thousands of trainers must battle each gym leader over long periods of time, and just because Ash couldn't beat Sabrina without making her laugh, that doesn't mean that other trainers such as Gary or Richie couldn't beat her.

I'm sorry, but we all knew that.
