Title says it all. Ever thought about how Ash NEVER EVER won most of his badges in the Kanto region fairly??

Gyms
1. pikachu hit the fire hydrant thingy, causing it to shower the whole field and soak up onix. pikachu didnt beat onix fair and square.

2. misty was NOT the gym leader but her sisters.

3. (woops.. i think its fair against lt. surge or w/e his name is)

4. ash rescued erika's gloom.

5. ash or actually, haunter made sabrina laugh.

6. soul badge? (i dont remember)

7. fair? i dont remember much either

haha i know what you guys mean, and its also kinda dumb on letting go (releasing) some of his best pokemon. for example... pidgeot- one of the most powerful flying type there is. primape- a really good fighting type. squirtle went back to the squirtle squad (i think). butterfree- ehhh, he's useful right? lol. charizard- he didnt really released him but he's so lazy that he's having someone train his charizard for him.

Several things. Ash is a kind trainer. He let his Pokemon do what they wanted.
Every single one thats left has been because they wanted to do a certain thing.

The first instance where Pikachu had a chance to evolve was the fight against Lt. Surge.

Every replacement gym leader is still a valid battle, despite what anyone thinks because the replacement leaders were authorised by the original leader.

The moral is showing that kindness should be rewarded, even if that isn't how things work in real life.

Oh yeah, Ash is definatly oblivious to the world around him, but so are alot of the other people in the Pokemon world (can you say team rocket).
I have no idea of the time rate or aging process of people in that world, but I assume Ash is about the equivalent of 16.

I mean the show has been on for what, 20 years or more, yet bart is still the same age...
We have to assume each episode of Pokemon that doesnt state or show a time frame is one day only, so assuming that each season is 30 eps, 10-12 seasons, thats like 360 days.
Add maybe a year of unaccounted for time (a few of the movies arnt canon to the series) and you have ash at maybe 15.
