E3 day “Zero” ended with Sony giving their media press conference. At first Sony announced different games that would be coming to the Playstation Vita and the Playstation 3. Games like Beyond Two Souls, Batman Arkham Origins, and Grand Trismo VI. Are just a few of the games that were announced for the Playstation 3.

                  After the games for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita were announced the moment that most gamers were waiting for finally arrived with the first reveal of the Playstation 4. After Sony revealed for the first time what the Playstation 4 would look like. They begin to talk about how important indie publishers were to Playstation 4. They also expressed how easy it would be for Indie publishers to get their games onto the Playstation 4. Something that Microsoft has vaguely touched, in fact, Microsoft at first begin to stay that Indie Publishers will have to get sponsored by the big publishers before Indie Publishers will be able to get their games on the X-Box One. However, in the same breath Microsoft said that those plans where still up in the air and did not touch this topic at E3.

                  What we now know about the Playstation 4 is that there will be no restrictions for used games or lending games to friends and family. That there will be no need to have the Internet in order to use the Playstation 4, and finally the Playstation 4 will cost $399 at launch. At first this was a huge hit and some would even say that Sony delivered the knockout punch at E3. However, the announcement and cheers that there wouldn’t be any restrictions in gaming, and the price of a $100 lower than the X-Box One. Allowed Sony to announce and almost sneak the fact that people will have to subscribe to PS Plus in order to play online multiplayer games. However, the perk with PS Plus is that it will cost the gamers less than $5 a month. If you go with the current price you’re looking at about $49.99 a month which is still $10 less than what a 12 month subscription with Microsoft would cost a gamer.

Sony didn’t have many big surprises with their game announcements for the Playstation 4 compared to the X-Box One. However, it is hard to find anything wrong with Sony’s presentation of the Playstation 4. In fact, it seemed that Sony was trying to send a message to the gamers. That Sony cares about games and that the Playstation 4 even though it has other features like: a Blu-Ray player and a share button. The Playstation 4 will be focused on games and the gamers. To the point that Sony announced that there are over 140 games being published right now for the Playstation 4.
