Hi everyone,

When I tried to play final fantasy 6 after not playing for awhile, I accidentally pressed F2 instead of F4, so my most recent save state was replaced with the beginning of the game. Basically, I accidentally deleted my file. I was wondering if there was a way to load my previous save state so that I can play where I left off last time. Any help would be appreciated.

A suggestion, though: if you can save in the game, save in the game before saving state. I save over my save states by accident all the time, so I know how you feel.

I accidentally did that on Dragon Ball z buu's Fury so I see what you feel like right now I was at the Barren Wasteland part, and I went all the way back to eastern forest on chapter. I was on chapter 9 to. I did it a different way though I tried to press f2 and pressed f4. It did not stop me though so I made it back up there. Well anyways since your question was answered.

If you don't save in the game before you make a state, then even if you do later, when you reload the state, the cartridge save will be gone (this is because it wasn't there prior to saving state). However, if you save in the game prior to making a state, you should have both, but in many instances a corrupt save state also means a corrupt cartridge save, unfortunately.
