I rarely eat breakfast, mainly because less eating is healthier, and my little brothers are all consuming black holes and eat all the breakfast food in the course of a week. So for a few days in the beginning of the month I get to eat breakfast though.

I heard that it was better to eat a huge breakfast and lunch but very small dinners. They said its because if you eat a lot for dinner then sleep, it can really build up fat in your stomach. I'm not sure if thats true though. I rarely eat breakfast or dinner, btw. But I do eat a big lunch during the day. and I'm not fat. My parents said that I'm underweigh. XD

When you wake up in the morning, you have been starving all night while you were asleep. When you wake up, it's supposed to be healthiest to drink a glass of water and eat a well-balanced breakfast. That means fruits AND veggies and stuff like that with your breakfast of cereal or eggs and sausage. Because of all the vitamins and proteins you need in your breakfast, it usually ends up being the largest meal of the day if you eat what you should. For lunch, it's meant to replenish the energy you used at the beginning of the day. Usually, it's not too big of a meal. However, dinner is meant to tide you over for the rest of the night while you prepare for bed. This meal should be small, since you're not going to be exerting the energy while you're asleep. If you feel hungrier at night, you're supposed to drink a large glass of water and wait to eat until morning. This is, at least, what I remember my doctor telling me as a way to maintain a healthy weight and have a healthier lifestyle. It's pretty hard to adapt to if you don't like eating in the morning (like I do), but it gets easier as my dinners get smaller.

Oh! Another thing about eating in the morning: usually, if we don't get the minimum number of hours required for sleep (or if we get way too many), we won't feel hungry. That's a separate matter, though.

I don't eat a lot of breakfast or morning time foods at all. Sometimes I do decide to have a bit of breakfast but when I do it's less calories than lunch or supper for me. I would say that as long as you received 100 or 200 calories for breakfast would be a good start to a good day.
