My computer loads to the home screen, then 50% of the time, crashes and restarts. Sometimes it only does this once but it sometimes goes on 5 times in a row! I don't know what is wrong with it, I have looked at the Applications but I don't know what is causing it!

Barathemos : Ok, let me try to help you out! here is a picture tutorial!

So if you have windows XP,

1. Click start and then click control panel:


2. And then on the control panel window, click add or remove programs:


4. Scroll through and try looking for some programs that are useless and unimportant and then just uninstall them and your PC will be faster!






These steps may also work for Windows vista and 7 too. Good luck and I hope this helps! If this doesn't work, then I think you need to reinstall windows. Good luck!

Barathemos : Without knowing what is causing the problem, it could be tough to help you. You could have a virus, you could be having connection problems. You could also be having hardware issues with your computer. Further research would be needed.

If you are using Firefox, there has been an issue reported for awhile now that sites that use a lot of flash are causing Firefox to crash. Sometimes even crash windows.

You could try a different browser for awhile to see if you have different results.

Barathemos : If you are having issues where you can't even run IE on your computer, or any other browser, I would look into why that is. Sounds like you are having a lot of problems with this computer.

Your best bet is probably to back up your files and re-install windows. That way you clear off any viruses or other issues you may have on your hard drive.
