Today's new Nintendo Direct had a surprising bit of info today: The next Sonic game will be Sonic Lost World!

Not much is known about it as of yet, but it WILL be a Wii U/3DS exclusive game.

More will be revealed at E3 (June 11, 12, and 13).

I would be much happier if this would have been released on the 360. Sonic feels natural on that controller, and I'm sure as heck not buying a wii U or 3DS for this game

From what it looks like, those three will be Mario & Sonic Olympics, Sonic Lost World, and due to what may be a hint in some tweet, a Mario and Sonic Kart Racing game.

Plus, I think Sonic being on a Nintendo console for a bit is actually better. If you look at Colors' ratings, it was far higher than that of what Unleashed and 06 had received. And then came Generations, but that got great ratings because of nostalgia.

Plus, the Wii U's power should now be about equal to the PS3 maybe, and definitely better than the 360, which should help make Lost World a pretty amazing game.

Anyways, I think that a portion of the complaints will be because it's an exclusive for a new system around the time the series is finally picking itself back up.

MegaRevolution1 : A mario + Sonic Karting game could definitely work. Also, the WiiU is in fact the currently most powerful console available - until the PS4 comes out.

MegaRevolution1 : That was certainly nothing I would expect from a Sonic game, but then again neither was Secret Rings and that was good. While that looked unmistakably childish I will give it the benefit of the doubt and hope that it is carried by the gameplay which Sega nailed perfectly in Colours and Generations.

Tails the Fox : To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Secret Rings' control styles (Tilting the remote), and felt like it kinda left me doing nearly nothing. And yeah, I didn't expect anything like this at all, really, and it does seem a bit too "childish", and even cartoon-y (I wanted the more realistic move its been going in, but meh, I can deal for one game). It all comes down to gameplay. I don't care about how crappy new characters are as long as they don't screw up the old ones. (as they did in Sonic '06) I just hope Sonic plays how he does in Colours and Generations. If Sega have been learning anything from the reception their games have been getting then it should be hard for them to screw this one up.

It's about time Sega made a new sonic game. The graphics of the game looks very similar to the ones that were in Mario galaxy. This would probably explain why sonic lost worlds will only be for Nintendo. Can't say I'm surprised,  though. I mean, I sorta figured the next sonic game was only going to be for Nintendo. I just wish that Sega would have at least made sonic lost worlds for the xbox360. (Sigh) suppose it can't be helped. I will just have to wait for some random person on YouTube to make a video about the gameplay.

I watched a level commentary with both IGN and SEGA. As I watch it, I see some really exciting things that have been implemented. The many paths, the run button, the parkour, they are all things that I would like to see more.

The graphics aren't as good as generations, but that may be because the game isn't fully polished yet.

So, if you Like NiGHTS into Dreams, you might like the Deadly Six Edition. The problem is that it's only available for pre-order... and I don't have a Wii U(and I'm sure a lot of you don't either)...
