Graphics-
After having played Trials Evolution for the first time, I have come to notice that the graphics were fairly thought out and even planned out to a high extent. Although these graphics are exquisite for the game itself, they have somewhat lacked steadiness when it came to the game play itself. At certain points in the game, the graphics would fail and often you would be able to see through objects as well as float in invisible water at times. Because the game cannot keep up with the progress of the player, sometimes the graphics will break from the game play... yet when viewed as just the map, the graphics seem to work just fine. Most of the time, it works wonders and tends to draw the attention of others and what the different objects might do.
Sound-
Because this game is known for it's challenging aspect, the sound to match the cycles is reasonable and worth listening to. Even the music soundtrack can change from time to time varying with the maps you play on, some maps provide a calmer feeling while others bring out a violent and aggressive rush through the game itself. Many of the maps tend to be of a high quality and often provide you with exciting and thrilling rock music of various styles.
Addictiveness-
This game, much like it's previous version "Trails HD"... is both exciting and complicated beyond belief. At times, you can spend over 10 hours just on one map if you really wish to beat it, and even then... you may fail right as you are about to pass. It's a game that definitely boils the blood of many, and often irritates many players to the point of rage quitting or causes them much aggression due to the complexity of some of the maps. At most times, you can spend five minutes to five hours on a single map... many of them tend to be simple but creative, and even then... you can download and add more maps that other users have created online. Thus giving you an endless supply of maps to play on and multiple challenges than you could possibly imagine.
Story-
Because this game is designed as a "testing" game, there is currently no story unlike games such as "Portal".
Depth-
For being the game that it is, this game offers a wide variety of options along with a huge selection of maps. Whether it's just the basic maps you start out with, the DLC maps you can download or even the user created maps you can test run... the idea of this game is almost endless. Along side that option, you can even create maps of your own and share them with the community online... maps can be rated, tested, and revised by other players as well as multiple DLCs to help increase the difficulty or uniqueness of the game. There are at least ten or more DLCs that are worth downloading and help improve the excellence that this game has provided to so many players. With that being said, this game has been one of the most challenging ones out there along side the game "Portal".
Difficulty-
Like I have said before, this game comes with so many options and so many items as well as DLC content... that there is nearly no end to the level of difficulty nor is there any specific difficulty set. Many of the preset levels come with a designed difficulty, but this varies from person to person. From my experiences, I can say that this game has caused me to punch a wall or two because of how challenging it was at times. Sometimes the controls tend to be a bit "sensitive" but at the same time, it's hard to put the controller down and stop playing after having gone through the first few levels. From there, you would want to try out the levels that others have created and in hopes to beat the high scores or become better on the game itself. Most levels can vary from "so-easy-a-caveman-can-do-it" to "WHAT ARE YOU EVEN THINKING!?!?". In all honesty, this game is a challenge and anyone who hasn't played it should take a chance to at least test the demo for Trials HD as well as for Trials Evolution. I am certain this game will catch your interest, unless you don't really like anything to do with dirt bikes and BMXing... and other similar sports of that genre.
