For an easier game pick either magby or elekid to avoid type disadvantages, as if you pick smoochum your rival will pick magby and yore gonna have a bad time !

Well, their are people that would prefer a challenge over easier, and from what I have seen from red omega so far I have yet to see an early ice type other than Smoochum, you comment could be compared to telling people not to choose Charmander because you would have a bad time fighting Brock. Or telling someone to loose to Gary twice or avoid the optional battle in Pokémon Yellow as you wouldn't have to fight a Jolteon later. some people just like to have that challenge and not have the easier game.
