Me personally i don't because an rpg is where you put yourself as the main character and see things through there eyes. as pokemon you play this random nobody Pokemon trainer and then after you put your time into him. He becomes a somebody. Don't get me wrong i do like the Pokemon games I just think they should be considered a different genre... Kinda like PTG's (Pokemon training game). So what do you think and why?

Final Fantasy games are RPG's, and you have even less control over the character.
An RPG is where you have choice in the characters growth and development - in this case your Pokemon. Yes, Pokemon is an RPG.
