I gave the difficulty a 6, but not because the story is hard to follow.  There is a point in the game (5th gym) where you have to battle the pseudo-legendary Metagross and his move set is just far too advanced for its level and the distance into the game, the same thing also applies to a Lugia later on (it isn't as difficult as the metagross, but still frustrating.)

Other than that it a solid hack, and I will probably play through it again!
