I have been playing Star Ocean for a good number of hours now and enjoying it so very much however I've come across a serious problem that makes it unplayable I'm stuck in a town on the second contenent (Tataroy) and every time i enter door/new area or even a part of the map area I'm in The game freezes (although I'm fine to exit the inn or enter the docks.) I have changed my browser to crome and restarted and just cant get round the freezing as i have been able to previously in the game.

I wonder if the problem is due to the game being incorrectly added (or patched) to the retro game room, mainly because the 2 files for this game don't match (one file is named Star Ocean (J) [TEng1.0_DeJap] and the other is named Star Ocean (ENG) # SNES). There was a staff member a few years ago, before I came along, who was adding games and I've already corrected a ton of games that were incorrectly added.

If you can upload your save state for this game to http://www.sendspace.com/ or similar file sharing site, I'll be able to look into the rom on my external emulator to check for various errors.

You'll have to save a state right before the part that freezes, and then you'll find the save state which you'll upload at this file path on your computer:
C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-373344ZSNESSaves

If for some reason you can't get to that file path, you can also get to the file location with this method:
Go to Start Menu -> All Programs -> Vizzed Retro Game Room -> Open Plugin Data Folder -> User-37334 -> ZSNES -> Saves


The file that you will upload will be named Star Ocean (ENG) # SNES.zst

After uploading it, please post the url to the download link so I can test it.

It turns out the freezing problem is in the original game and isn't a bug from the hack. Apparently, using save states can cause it to freeze. If you load your last in-game save, the part that froze should be fixed.

It still crashes (Although it was a different area.) i didn't manage to save state or like a tool i didn't before i reset now i have to start back from my original in game save!

Is there a thread for save states and in game saves if not i think there should be one for people who are new to emulators like me especially when it comes to epic games like star ocean and if there is i wish i'd of stumbled across it before putting all that effort in!
