I was playing robocop and when i click on play game it will not start i get this message on the top screen saying some plugins used by this page are out of date, i have version 2.0 but i can't update.

Seems to be working just fine.

Also it seems that the error message you are getting is referring to Firefox plugins (If it's a yellow banner at the top of your screen) not the RGR plugin.

Have you tried another browser? I would probably start there. Because it sounds like you are having problems with plugins with Firefox being out of date. That is why you are getting the message at the top of your browser.

If that doesn't work, I suggest un-installing then re-installing the RGR plugin.
