Okay so most of you will know about the tiers in which the characters are ranked ( Meta-Knight being the highest ranked and the only S rank tier in Super Smash bros. Brawl. )

What is your opinion on these and if your anti-tierist ( Against them. ) then say so and why.

I know a common argument would be that it would be impossible to balance a cast of so many characters ( Against arguement. )
Although myself disagree with certain characters and there rank on the tier list I do like the idea of them

As you can see above fan favorites aren't first so they have been judged based on gameplay.
As asked first what is your opinion of these? ( For full tiers just look them up. )

You more than likely disagree because you don't play the tournament play style. This is constructed by melee professionals, it factors in edge guarding, wave dashing, and tech- chasing. Most people don't do that and they don't see the value of some characters with the more basic playstyle.

I have always been against tiers in games because it takes away the diversity because nobody wants to play a low tier character. When I play I do not care about tiers, and instead more about skill. I have always thought that tiers make the games less fun. Speaking of which, Masahiro Sakurai said that with SSB4 they will try to make the game balanced.

Tails the Fox : The great thing about super smash bros melee and 64 (not brawl) is that it doesn't matter if you pick a low tier character. Taj plays mewtwo, one of the worst characters in the game, and he is one of the best melee players.

ender44 : In Brawl, I play as Ike, and he is not on the tier list. Despite that, I kick arse.

Tails the Fox : I doubt they would manage it since they will probably be much characters.
I mean personally I use Marth a lot in brawl who is only a B rank character.

ender44 : Yeah but Mew-two wasn't in the bottom class ( G ) he was in F almost in E.

While I do sorta like tiers, they can be way off sometimes. It really depends on how you use the character and if you're good with them. An example is that Lucas is pretty low on the tier list, but I am incredibly good with him.

I actually think there quite true for example in Super Smash Bros Brawl tiers Meta knight is the only S rank well he is actually really over powered and overused.
