If the hardware impresses, they have a good launch library, and the price point is decent I'm sure they won't have a problem selling consoles.

Heck, the 360 had a lackluster launch library and people still lined up in droves to purchase it.

I wonder if they will let go of Rare considering the last thing they made them do with the Avatars, which was really unnessecary. What is the 720 going to offer that is not already offered? They basically revolutionized the way that people could purchase games on their CONSOLE and allowed digital downloads of games, add ons etc. (Which at that point was only available on Steam back then) As well as expanding their already robust online gaming community from the original xbox. Adding ACHIEVEMENTS and Gamerscore was something that a lot of companies scrambled to compete with.

Not to mention being the first console that allowed HD graphics....

Again it's going to be rough to predict what exactly the new console will bring, but it should still be interesting to see what it is.

But people are less likely to buy a Playstation 4 because they do not want to make the main thing FPSs. That is one of the reasons people mainly get the 360, because of shooters. It's really sad to be honest.
