Well in my opinion the best looking Pokémon trainer was either Brandon from ruby/sapphire/emerald or the main male character from black/white 2. I'm not referring to my post layout as a example on who to pick or who the choices are lol.

I never really watched the Anime. My favorite trainer sprite would have to be the main character (male) one from Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. It just seems like a large departure from the normal trainers. Though the one in Pokemon X and Y (and the potential Z) might become a new favorite if the rumours about customisation are true.
