Was this game made as a sequel for the 7th Saga. It has the same ominous music different for when your in a town or house , shop and battle. The games menus, menu bars, stats screens, and character vitals are the same. Even the radar when traveling is the same. Little dots for monsters and a ring circle for places. Although you do not get to pick your character and you must find arks instead of runes, there are many similarities. Now maybe it is just because the same company "ENIX" made both games 2 years apart and used a lot of the formats just because they were good for their games. I would like to know if anyone knows of any other RPG's by "ENIX", Or any other games that  ENIX has made or was a partner to the game.

I hope this helps. Enix have also did for the NES Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest 1-4.
They published for the SNES Actraiser, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, E.V.O Search for Eden (Which is one of my favorite SNES games), Paladins Quest, Brain Lord, Robotrek, Ogre Battle, Terranigma, and King Arthur and the Knights of Justice.
On Nintendo 64 they did Mischief Makers.
On Gameboy Colour they did The Dragon Warrior Monsters games, and also Dragon warrior 1-3, and Star Ocean.
This isn't strictly RPG, but a lot of the games here are RPGs anyway.

tails the fox : I knew there was a reason why I loved dragon warriors! I played that game so long ago but I remember being addicted to it when I was like 7 years old. If I remember I made It pretty far I was not aware that they made more of them. I Will have to check them out. The first one you must find the magical prince or knight Edwards Armor and Sword or something like that right? I want to make sure we are talking about the same game here. And thank you for that list, it will definitely keep me busy for a while.

Sorry, but Enix were not the ones I really followed in terms of their published games, I was more of a fan of Square.(Which is rather funny considering they combined)
