Well, this was an unexpected occurance. This is info for anyone that is / was a member of BoxTorrents or is interested in Anime torrents.

After being down for "maintenance" http://www.boxtorrents.com/ an Anime torrent tracker has been taken down.
Aparently the site owner, Box, had been skimming all extra donations from the site fund,
and lying about said funds even existing instead of using the extra money on the site or its server.
Obviously the site staff / coders found this out and were irritated to say the least.
So they shut down BoxTorrents and opened a new site called BakaBT at http://www.bakabt.com/

All existing user data / wiki's / forums as well as the tracker has been moved there.
All one needs do is change the tracker either manually or by getting a new torrent file and you're set to go.
Read all about it at the new Anime torrent site, http://www.bakabt.com/
Of course who knows,l maybe Box will fess up and say what happened, but till then, bye bye BoxTorrents...

I didn't know what even boxtorrents was but i just checked out the bakabt and its awesome! It's a really good place to go to bad I didn't ever get to see the origonal boxtorrents. I bet it would have also been awesome. But thanks for the info on the place.

So it's just a matter of changing your bookmarks, phew.

Yeah, at first I was unsure of the switch too, but it explains the "maintenance" that took so long

Modesty is one thing, but covering it up is another.
Plus I have been using the new BakaBT for awhile now and speeds are about the same as they were, despite the fact that it doesnt have the seedbox access now...

But it's all in the past now, onwards and upwards!
