I got all the way to the water gym and the game doesn't advance any further. I fought the girl outside the gym and then I skipped the gym to go north and get the Charmander and help bill. I returned to the gym and it was empty. I went and clicked on everyone and everything all the way back to pallet town and nothing was forgotten. I cannot get through the house that was burglarized and the rocks and trees block my path. The game cannot advance past the water gym town.

I have no problem rating a game so bad if you can't even get more than 1 gym badge.

First off, it took me over 5 hours to get that far as I have a life and have to get up and do things so starting over is not worth a glitchy game. The entire gym was empty. There was only a pool inside with no gym trainers or gym leader, no people at all inside the gym.
