Is sheik male or female? Since Zelda is a fantasy game and basically anything goes, there is a logical argument for both sides. Though the manga isn't canon, in the manga Zelda places her soul into the body of a sheikah boy. There are some other arguments, thought that one seems the most likely if sheik were to be male. Though, I believe that sheik is female. Zelda used the triforce of wisdom to alter her characteristics, she muffled her voice, and Impa taught her some of the sheikah strategies. Ruto seems to think sheik was male, though she could have made a mistake.

I'd have to go with the female argument here.
In the original Ocarina of time you could sort of tell that sheik was a woman due to her bust.
But another arguement would be that Sheik had red-eyes whilst Zelda had Red eyes,
this would make the Manga a bit more canon than one would first expect.

Maybe It's a mix of both as in Zelda placed her soul in a sheikah woman or man.
