What do you think the cross means in your own words?

tiber, I'm not sure exactly what you mean.  There are so many ways that question can be answered.  Are you asking what it means symbolically?  The cross is a symbol of the gospel, if that's what you mean....

It's made from wood and it's meant to resemble a tree, and a tree is a symbol of life, also.  I mean, everyone has heard that Christ died on the cross, and even in His death, He symbolizes life.

Singelli... do you know how to skate? I mean, either on wheels or on ice. Also, have you ever played any sports?

Do you think play4fun will ever be beaten in Bible Pictionary? 

How hard is it being a global/ Local Mod? 

Apologies for not being able to reply to this thread for a while. I will take the time now to answer the questions that I have missed.

mrfe : Are you talking about smartphones? Well I mean, I have myself an ITouch as well as a separate phone, and I wish I would be able to get an IPhone instead of having two things, but I'm not a data charge type of person (unless I am able to have a phone that only uses WIFI for internet). I'm more of a computer person and have a more preference in that than phones.

Divine Aurora : My day is going well. When we are appointed as Globals, each Global is required to pick on a secondary role to manage. There is the CP and Viz manager, Chat Manager, and the Layout Manager. After discussions, I became the Chat Manager. It's coming along. I've been working hard making the chat to be a family friendly place, making some changes and improvements along the way. It also gives me a chance to communicate with other members and staff directly, getting to know them and form friendships.

The younger kid in my profile is my little brother.

mrfe : I am a PC person, and I am liking Windows 7 right now. I am very skeptical with Windows 8 and I haven't seen anything that tells me that it's an improvement. I do know how to use both PC and Macs though.

tiber1976 : To add along with what Singelli said, there is a great irony of the cross. Before Jesus came, the cross represents shame, guilt. The Romans use crucifixion for those who are the worst of all criminals. Those who are punished of this death sentence are striped naked on a piece of wood to let the whole world to see. That disgrace is for everyone to see. Now, the cross has a different meaning with Jesus dying for the sins of the world. The cross is now a sign of hope and resolution.

Also, it is definitely a hard task of being a mod if you are responsible of it. There is many things that needs to be done and it is never-ending. It also depends on what type of mod you want to be and there are different styles of modding. I want to be a personable mod to the members of this site. I am interested in the people of this site and I don't just want to be around to make sure the place is great place to be, but to also get to know of different people with different backgrounds on this site. If people have questions for me, I would be happy to help them in any way I can.

People who break rules or cause drama around the site makes the job harder. Sometimes I have to make follow ups on people who cause problems both publicly and privately. Sometimes I need to stay around and deal with people on the spot. My rule of thumb is always to find the best in people, which is why I have more respect for those who are willing to apologize for what they did wrong if they did wrong and have the willingness to never do it again. But if someone who does care about following rules or treating others with respect, I take it very seriously. Because an offense towards people who are peacefully enjoying the site is an offence to me. If people break rules, they won't get to see the true me and personable me. 

One of the harder things is to continue to do good even when some members don't think so. When I applied for this position, I emphasized that I believe in the purpose of the site to be family friendly and that I would make sure that is enforced. Sometimes making decisions will cause people to second guess you or question your authority and mission, but when I make decisions, I focus on just doing the right thing and not by what people think of me. Sometimes people would think bad things when in reality they don't know the whole story, and in the end, they make themselves look like fools rather me needing to do something about it. To be objective and not to be influenced by peer pressures of friendship (that sounds a little high schoolish). That is where the extra intangible burdens that goes along with the crazy, hectic moderator workload.

So is it hard? Oh yeah. But I continue to hope everyday that I am doing a good job at it.

play4fun : I don't really have a question, but I'm going to comment that your response to thing1 was pretty much what I needed in respect to guidance in being a moderator. Right now, I'm just looking through the various threads, trying to see what I can do and how I would respond to trouble-makers and whatnot, since the experience is new to me. I think the approach you take is similar to what a good manager of a business should do, and I really respect that. Hopefully I can replicate your success!

But I'm going to follow the rules of the thread and make up a question on the fly. Here goes:

play4fun : Such a detailed response... I found it very... motivating. As you know, I want to become a local one day, at the least. And I guess you could say my style would be kind of on a personal level, like yours, to an extent. 

But to stay on topic... are there any Bible Pictionaries planned? I have the rest of the weekend off, so I can do one AND ACTUALLY MAKE IT THIS TIME! >.<

thing1 : I used to also go to the Debate forum a lot just to see what is in there that I can post. Lately, I've also been looking at the General Chat forum and of course the restricted forums. I think those forums give me a vibe as to what the community as a whole is thinking or trending and it's really interesting to see how all of that is developed.

TheFadedWarrior : Oh that is very difficult. I love board games, and it seems like every time that I play board games, I would have a new favorite. I would say Settlers of Catan is up there. Recently I got into Bang! and Guillotine. For card games, UNO is a classic that never dies. For video games, I recently purchased Empire Total War and I am playing nonstop on it. Definitely my favorite for now.

patar4097 : I would say so. I don't really view it any differently than being a normal member. Just more privileges and more responsibility, but yeah, I like it that I can work on this site and keep it on course with what the site represents. 

In my personal opinion, I think she will.

I don't usually watch the NFL season. The playoffs more likely. I guess that is because I am more into my first love, the NBA
