I've have seen many screenshots with Link in the first dungeon with the Hylian Shield in Skyward Sword. Is there any possible way (except hacking) of getting the Hylian Shield before/during the First Temple in the game?

First, I'd like to say that this would belong in Video Games rather than Video Game Crazyness. There is no known way to my knowledge that you can get the Hylian Shield before/during the first temple without hacking, since you need to be further into the game to get the shield. Those pictures you saw are probably either a. Beta or b. Pictures of hacks people have done.

TheFadedWarrior is correct. There is no way to get the Hylian Shield that early in the game. You get it much, much later. Those screenshots are of the game in the beta stage. The Hylian Shield was just for show.
