So this is another question that has come up over the course of this competition , Do you think the TDV's have caused random and pointless multiple page replies to game reviews that provide the reviewer that is reviewing the game no help to help further or complement their skills at reviewing?(please no flamming of members who reply)

In most cases I would say yes, although having people say how much they liked your review is nice, multiple posts of a similar nature are just spammy to me. I appreciate all the positive feedback I get on my reviews, but if all they are going to do is say how much they liked it and leave it at that, it doesn't leave much open in terms of communicating back, and just ends up a long thread of great work and thank you's. I have noticed a lot of people don't bother to rate reviews either, after saying how great they were. I am guilty of this myself to however, thou I tend to just forget to do it. >.<

This thread is rather pointless. Of course it does. TDV is spamville. There will be spam in every single forum, and game reviews are no exception. Seriously.

I have been seeing this happen like crazy, and quite frankly it's getting aggrivating. : I hate to sound like some sort of jerk, but I have been seeing the exact same post made by multiple users in several threads. That doesn't bother me except when they are all bashing the review. One simple proper and polite answer is all it takes, you know?
What gets me is seeing two month old reviews getting bumped. Why dig three pages back to reply? I never really understood why mods complained about this before, but I get it now. In a forum like reviews, it makes the mods' job tough, since we have no way of knowing which reviews are new and which are old until after we open it. It's more of a headache than anything.

I get the spirit of the tdv though, so I can deal with it. Though I would rather not have to. lol

marcushoward : yes i seen pointless replies in the game review forum , but its not only  the game review forum , its all of the other forums and a lot of the replies to a lot thread are pointless and off topic but i haven't seen to much spamming or flaming lately .

Yes, I do think this. Half of the members I have seen do not even read the review. Just take 5 minutes of your time.

I kind of think that for reviews, during TDV, you should only be allowed to post one reply in game reviews a day. It is just a cheap way to get more posts, more words, and more points. I also think that there should be a strict limit in regards of the Newbie Forum (1 post per day in Newbie), because that is another forum people abuse just to get more posts. The rest of the limits seem pretty good though, and are reasonable.

The game reviews are always pretty spammy. But during the TDV, they, like everything else, see even more spam than usual. There's really not much to discuss about that. If you see a spammy review, report it and let the mods deal with it.
