Hello Vizzed Community,

I saved my Oot game yesterday when I was in Zoro's domain but when I loaded the game today I'm way back in Kokoriko village with all of my progress eradicated.

What could be the problem?

ygoygo123456 : Not exactly sure here if you were using the emulators Save state functionality.

Save states overwrite themselves (When using the same emulator) so the only thing that could have happened is that you thought you properly pressed F2 but that your game screen might not have been active at the time. Make sure to click on the screen when you are about to save just to make sure.

I always make sure that it saved properly by pressing F4 after having saved. So that can't be the reason. Also if the would overwrite, why is the loaded state somewhere way back now, because I saved the game very often since the point which the game loads now.

ygoygo123456 : ...I'm not sure as was indicated in my last post. The only thing that would make sense is that A. You are playing on a computer that wasn't the same computer you made the save state from, or it didn't save correctly when you thought it did.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I am using the programm Wine to play vizzed games?

ygoygo123456 : I would say that is probably the case. It maybe a situation where your save files are being stored in some sort of temporary folder causing an issue like this.

Is there a way to start again from the position in which my save state was lost? Like putting a downloaded file in a directory and then pressing F4 so I am at the same position where I was.

ygoygo123456 : Not really. Save states save over the top of the last one like I said before.

So the only way you could really do something like that would be to save state your game. Move the file to a different folder, then move it back when you want to load.

It would seem to be more efficient to figure out what is going on with your install of the plugin, or your instance of windows/wine that is most likely causing your problem.
