David, I think it would be an excellent idea to add music to the forums. I'm not too sure about copywrite stuff but I do know that upcoming bands let people use their songs for free to get discovered.

I don't think you guys understand how much that would slow down the board....

maybe the option would be nice but I think it should be reserved to trusted members and above if it does happen....

streaming music to 10-15 people that are online at the same time would make the board pretty laggy

there is no if... it will slow the board down.... sending text and the little images that make up the board is easy (and most of it is cached by our browsers) so it doesn't require a whole lot of bandwidth to keep things going.... music would slow this board down so much you wouldn't want to bother trying to post here.

I'm against this idea too.
It's a bad idea for the reason geeo mentioned and personally i hate sites that start pumping out sounds at you.
If you want music, listen to online radio or MP3s or something.

I think that is a much better idea.... like each person gets to submit 1 song at a time or something.... a song that you really enjoy that you want everyone else to listen to....

I prefer that idea to having music stream from the board itself.

but yeah, I think Neyro should look into setting up his playlist idea. Not sure how hard it would be to make or allow everyone access to it. I would want to limit the number of songs each person can upload.... like maybe everyone gets to have 2 or 3 each that they upload....

and maybe not give out the login freely... so it doesn't get abused
