Okay this is a thread to compare an individual manga(or light novel) to an anime (not just in general)

For example  1.            Manga/Anime : Spice and Wolf

Anime: The anime was beautifully animated and the voice acting will permanently stick in my head. Also the anime portrayed much more emotion in the parts that it did show compared to the light novel.

Manga(light novel): the light novel continued over three times the length of the anime and had a much more engrossing story that had a magnificent conclusion compared the the anime that had no clear ending.

                         2. Manga/Anime : Hellsing(original version)

Anime: The anime had AMAZING voice acting (the best I've ever seen) Although the anime has no real story to talk of and the animation appears to be done pretty cheaply, with the backgrounds being pretty much non-existent.

Manga: The manga's story is very good having a clear story-line and great artwork.

In my personal opinion Manga trumps Anime (generally) in terms of story, Although Anime can allow you to become more attached to the characters and appreciate the setting much more.

Post your examples and opinions below.
