I would have to say that my favorite of the three would have to be torchic but only because i'm so fond of its evolved form blaziken which I think is the best of the three.

Mudkip is my favorite starter because when he evolves into Swampert he is unbeatable, and he can learn a cool mave caleed Muddy Water thats like a stronger Surf.

I have to say that if you mean kanto, I would have to go with bulbasaur. If hoenn is what you mean then it's a tie between torchic and mudkip. I like Bulbasaur because he makes the game pretty damn easy. Also because he reminds me of biolante from the godzilla vs. Biolante movie. I like Torchic cause it's final evolution ( blaziken ). for mudkip, well.....I.... The little motherf***er's just damn cute!

Ah yes. but being a ground/water type in the evolved forms, he is more susceptable (not sure that's how you spell it) to grass attacks.

kanto- i have to go with squirtleeven though he IS slow, his defense is the highest of the 3. and exactly what NotJon said, he can both destroy charizard and or venosaur. squirtle FTW.
