I havn't played either so I say none.

I would say 1 just because it's the original game.... there isn't anything about 2 that I found to be better than 1.

but that's just me... I didn't really like either game but it was one of the first really popular first person shooters and spawned a lot of other games because of it's success.

Doom was a FirstPersonShooter (FPS) released on the PC where you went around shooting aliens.

Hi, I did played Doom 1 when it was released, I remember playing it from a 3'5 Diskette, at that time there was not any other game as cool as Doom 1, shooting zombies and well sometimes I got scared from automatic doors opening very close to me and getting hit by those monsters and playing after bedtime. But it was a revolutionary game.

But then it came Doom 2, it was released on a CD, and included new features, maps, monsters, and what is best is that you could play the Doom 1 maps on the Doom 2 console, so this last reason is why I think Doom 2 is better, the answer to the question, you can also play the plutonia and evilution maps on Doom 2 console, and even any other user-created maps.

I had the original Doom 2 CD but I really think my mom trashed it because of the image on the front, I think she though I was going to the dark side, lol.
