would you have liked it if there were a few missions where you
got down on foot and used your pistol to take out the badies? I think that it would have been cool if it was done right.
having to perform tasks such as:
    Planting a bomb in an enemy base, or even planting a bomb
         in your own base to keep it out of enemy hands as you know that you are going to lose.
    Destroy robots invading Great Fox, and keep them from sabotaging the generators.
    Recover a stolen base, possibly having to defuse bombs planted by the enemy.
    Float around in outer space while equiped whith hover boots and a space suit, destroying
         enemy robots that have latched onto a Cornerian flagship.
    Infiltrate an enemy flagship.
Ther are even more possibiliteis, but it would have to be done right.
I would like them to make up their own formula for such missions rather than ripping in of other
series formulas. They should base it after the formula that they use for the vehicle levels.

I'd never considered it, and I'm sure it would be fun enough, but I think it probably would have taken away from the experience somewhat. But then, I'm just a fan of the air based combat games over shooters by far.

Then again, I actually credit SF64 for that love of this genre, so who knows.

ender44 : I got the idea after playing Star fox 64 and I realized that fox never used his gun from smash bros.
