I can't give much to go on and I have looked forever, so at last I come here. I hate not being able to remember something, so frustrating. But anyway the book I read seemed to have something to do with magic through drawing runes of some sort, and there being a wall to which at some point in the book he used it to draw power from, I think to stop some kind of invasion, could be wrong there though. I also seem to remember it having a purple cover, almost positive. I read it a long time ago and I liked it so anything to help would be great.
