Hi guys, my first thread
WOO!
Well the thing is i recently bought a Sony Playstation for just €6. I was looking for games for it on eBay but I am really stumped on what I should buy!
I had a Nintendo 64 but one of the cables broke and i cannot play it anymore which was a big loss!
Can anyone advise good games for the playstation?
I am interested in sports games as well as games like super mario?

Well, if your into football, i suggest the latest madden games, even though they all suck on PS1, passing is the worst but its a classic so you cant complain

The Final Fantasy series (I like 9&7 the most)

If your into wrestling (Even a lil') Then Smackdown 2 is the game 4 you because, unlike other wrestling games you can 'Free-roam' without 1 single stupid story line.

But yea Crash bandicoot spyro and contra are just some of the great games on the ps1 its one of all time favs of all consoles

yeah, any Final Fantasy game is generally pretty good....

I liked Resident Evil and Silent Hill.... those games were fun. I used to play them with some friends in the dark. Wasn't terrifying or anything but usually got a good scare once in a while.

Do you mean 3d platformers like Mario 64 or like Mario Bros 3?
3d platformers I agree with ReX, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro are worth a look, as well as Pandemonium, Gex and Pitfall 3D.
If your looking at 2d platformers have a look at the MegaMan X series and Castlevania.

yea i did forget to mention the Megaman X games and Gex that game is great Silent hill is good but Resident evil is better its fun blasting the crap out of zombies, i really enjoyed the tony hawk pro skater games and probobly the best Fighting/car/Destruction (or watever u wanna call it) is twisted metal, a lot of companies tried to copy the genre and maybe only 1 of them succeded a little bit, but the Twisted metal games are great YES ALL 4 OF THEM its just a great satisfaction to be able to say, "Yea i beat Twisted Metal 2 with every character" (TM2 is prolly the hardest because of dark tooth)

yes, jet moto is a great racing game for ps1. challenging tracks and some that you have to go loops and even spyral. you should definetly get it. (if you like racing that is). basketball games back in 99' are not bad. football games were ok, but graphics are ehh.
