I tried to find one but could not come up with any.If moderaters know one better, please link and I am sorry, you can close this one. But hey,if not. Link here your favourite country songs, old and new and we dicuss those, ya here? As long its country it is good to be on this thread.

I start with a few of my own:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGluazDO0PA

This here band is called Freud,Marx,Engels and Jung. Dont let the name fool ya. Its pretty good local stuff. The song is called in english "I never go down with an ugly broad (but I always wake up next to one)"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrUk1ua8ZqI

And this here is Hank Williams III. Out of all the Hank Williamses, he is my favourite, though nobody cant beat his grandpa. The one in between I think is worth nothing. That song there is called Satan is real/Straight to hell.

Now you go.

I don't think there is a thread for just country music.  Actually, when I as living in Alaska (during my middle school years), all I listened to was country music. I don't think I've heard the ones you linked, but I can't try them right now since I can't currently watch youtube videos.  However, I'll be certain to check them out later.

I kind of grew out of country though and I'm not its biggest fan anymore.  However, I mainly posted to mention something I've noticed.  I wonder if it's only me that thinks this..... but does country music always stay the same?

I mean, if I listened to rock back in the 90's.... didn't listen to it for several years.... and then listened to it today, I wouldn't recognize any of the songs!!!  The last time I listened regularly to country was way back in the 90s.  I recently listened to some out of curiosity and I was shocked to hear ALL the same songs I used to listen to as a child!  Even if I listen to it for just a few hours, it seems like there are VERY few new songs.

Is this just in my imagination?  Other music genres developing while country music doesn't?

Singelli :

And if you can, please link or mention any songs that used to like. That would be nice you know? And yes, I see what you mean it all sounding like the same. Well, I kind of thought opening this as a blues and country as since at the beginig it wasnt that much of a differnce between the genres. Allmost all curent music, country or rock,is based on the blues. That is why I think it sounds the same. Although I myself prefer all the oldies, I thought someone here would maybe put up something recent that I might not have heard of before and take into liking.

So dont be shy now putting up a link or mentioning a song you used to like. I think all of us who are now starting to get into this thread (as I hope people will since and I dont think we all listen only to pop and rock), we would love to hear what you were into those alaskan days.
