Fire all the way. Maybe dragon, like Charizard, who should have been fire/dragon *cough* Nintendo. I like fire. It is dark and light, mysterious, and kicks but in competitive setting. Plus, you get a free fire type in the beginning of every game, which usually evolves into a really cool fire type (unless you picked Chimchar and get stuck with Monferno. Sorry Monferno). Fire types are easiest to handle- they hit fast and hard, but don't tank things like steel types or the like.

They have a high Attack and Special Attack, which is very vital to a team. Also dragons can make a very powerhouse pokemon to a balanced, defenced, and especially agressive team.

I have to say that my favorite Dragon-type pokemon is Special Rend, Roar of Time, and Draco Meteor.

My 2nd favorite Pokemon-type is Fire.

My most favorite pokemon is Raichu because of its cool tail and electric type moveset like Thunderbolt or Thunderwave.
