Davideo7: Yeah, in my opinion, Black Ops 2 is the best Call of Duty they've made. All of my gripes and complaints of the older Call of Duties are gone. Now of course there are new ones, but this game is very solid. The online play is more?competitive?as well, over the years CoD players have been getting better and I also think that gamers overall are getting better due to the fact that video games have been around longer and the generations that have been coming up have always had them there.

I agree with you on true gamers needing to keep an open mind. The 1 system gamer, or even worse, the 1 system and 1 type of game or even 1 game only gamers, definitely are not gamers.

Light Knight: Haha, yeah. You were here a few months before me, but considering how many people were on the board at that time. It's pretty much the same time haha. Good seeing you.

Juliet: Hey Juliet! I'm glad to see you too! I was just asking David in a PM about you like yesterday. I'm glad to see you come back at the same time I am.

That's awesome that you are pursuing programming, it's a very high commodity. It can add a few 0's to your salary in the workplace. And yeah, I'm into game design. It's getting tougher because my school doesn't focus on one area of art in video games like 3D or 2D art or just game programming. It teaches you about the industry, all the legalities and the hard part is that it touches bases on every way possible to make a game. Drawing basics, 2D, 3D, Animation for both 2D and 3D, Programming (AS3, HTML, CSS, Java, Javascript, C#), level design.....the list goes on. So even if you decide to go down one field you have to do the others. A lot of artists hate programming but you have to do it in this course. Works, visa-versa. But yeah it's fun.

What programming are you learning? Where are you learning it? Why are you learning program? What are you goals?

It's just good to hear from you Juliet. Hope everything is going well and I hope you stop by here more often like I'm trying to do.

Davideo7 : Thanks for the summon.

@cookie
So far I've learned about the basics of programming, languages like c, c++, java, some bits of discussions about the current computer industry and about some parts of certain machines like laptops and phones. I'll be a 2nd year college student this June after a 2-month summer vacation Time really flies by so fast. I'm attending classes for BS Computer Science at University of Santo Tomas in my home country ( Philippines ). As to why I chose programming, I find it fun~ It's like you're playing an arcade game and you get to twist logic in different ways and you still end up with the right end result, but with a faster and more elegantly coded program. I didn't understand what our prof meant by "elegant" at first, not until 2nd semester when I reread my programs that I've made during my first weeks in college and I was like, " Did I really do this crap?" I had a headache from reading my own programs. Those programs are written in C and C++ but I'm currently learning java. I'm not yet sure what kind of programming I'm going to specialize in, I'll probably finish BsCS and see what the programming world has to offer first before deciding for my major.
Thanks Cookie. I hope everything's going well for you too. It has been a fun and fulfilling year for me.
