It's going to be something that non-staff, as well as staff, to where we gain points for ways that we contribute to vizzed. It's not yet in action, but the part on profiles has been implemented.

When the system is finished which Davideo is developing currently, he'll make an announcement about it. For now it's going to remain at zero points.

It's a measure of user's contributions to the site.  David said he will try to make a formal announcement of it later tonight.  Basically though, it just allows others to see if you've done anything to help progress the site, such as submitting decent screen shots or adding data to the game pages.  I'm sure David will explain it more in detail when he makes his announcement... don't worry!

It's a great step forward for our site and will help us hire more effective staff members in the future.

I actually think it would be a good to add in combination with the trust point system or eventually get rid of the trust point system altogether.

I like the trust point system but it doesn't reward effort as much as popularity. The contribution system rewards effort by people to contribute to the site. It would be nice to reward people who contribute with a special title or position at some point. Maybe it would be 25 or 50 points per month and if you didn't maintain that you would lose the trusted status. I would like to see that sort of system at some point.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
