So...... It would be nice if we could have a box full of deleted messages, if it wouldn't bog the site down.  The box could auto-empty even every day, as far as I'm concerned.  It just seems way too easy to accidentally hit that box that selects all messages by accident... and then delete all messages without meaning to.

I think I just did that myself, unless there was some terrible glitch.  And I know it's not the first time.  And... I had 9 very important pms to me that I was waiting to respond to....

I would have LOVED to go into a deleted box and reclaim them... both this time and last.  *sighs*
I had some GREAT pms saved with coding advice, layout and profile templates, etc.  And... now it's all gone.  And I can't get it back....

Oh, and just thought I'd summon a few people here.... the ones that I can remember anyways.
To the people that had pm'd me substantial messages... I was saving them for this weekend to respond to.  I am so.... so sorry.  There's no way I will remember what the messages you sent me were about.  *rests her forehead against the table for a few moments*

slimeface, KG is a global mod.  This isn't the first time you've summoned someone who can do nothing about an issue someone else is having.  I've seen you be warned about it before, because someone said they were tired of you spamming.  I wouldn't summon someone unless you KNOW for certain that the person can help.  If you're uncertain, don't summon them at all.  Just because someone is nice doesn't mean they have the knowledge to help in a particular area.

However, thanks for trying.  If you want to respond to this, I suggest you do it via pm or profile wall.

However, I'd hate to bother him with something so trivial since he's usually so busy.  Also, unless deleted messages had some sort of time stamp to say when they were deleted... I'm sure I have gazillions of deleted messages.  How would he sort through them? The ones I had saved ranged from being recieved a few days ago.... to when I first began learning to code layouts.  LOL

If you know who the messages were from, which it sounds like, then David could probably undeleted just those.

As for the suggestion, right after bed I thought of perhaps a less messy solution:  A "Are you sure you want to delete your entire inbox?" pop up warning.

I believe I know just what you did and, though I don't have nearly as many messages sent to me or saved, I have done this before as well. Thankfully I had written my responses in 'NotePad' and could kinda tell what the deleted messages were about by reading my replies.

I used to copy and paste emails a long long time ago, back when the Internet was so slow that it was a mission to load a single page. This helped me get through things faster. I don't copy and paste the emails and save them in 'NotePad' anymore, but it did leave me with the habit of writing replies in 'NotePad' or 'MSWorks'.

If the issue isn't resolved soon, you might consider a quick 'copy/paste/save' approach... at least until things are set just how you need them.
