Nintendo has about two main franchises, Mario and Zelda. Mario has branched out into nearly every single genre, while Zelda remains true to its roots. I'm not saying this is bad, but what if Zelda had a little more variety? Paper Mario, from the 30 minutes ive played it was pretty fun. What if the Zelda series were to go in that direction? Eiji Aonuma talks about taking the series in a new direction, why not there. I cant say if it will be fun or not, but it would add dome variety to the series.

What do you think about a game like this?

I, for one, don't think it would work. It's hard to imagine a current Zelda game succeeding as a side-scrolling platformer. Hell, the first one barely succeeded. But now, especially, it just doesn't seem like something that would fit into the series.

On a side note, you really need to change the text color in that layout. It's nearly impossible to read parts of it.

But, Toon LOZ plays pretty much the same as normal LOZ. Also, I think ender meant a Paper Zelda like Thousand-Year Door, an RPG with a unique battle system based on timed button presses. I, for one, think it could be pulled off quite well.

A paper Zelda game would be an interesting twist. It would be funny seeing a Zelda story unravel in a setting like that. Still, the gameplay would suffer so much, and be far below the average Zelda game's, that I don't think it would be the best move on their part. Still, it would be fun, and I would definitely want to try it.
