In reference to your question, depending on what laptop you are using, your function keys might be reversed.  Is there some kind of function key on your keyboard that might say "Fn" of something similar?  If so, hold that down when you hit the F2 key.  If not, try a few combinations like "cntrl + F2".  If you're too worried about playing around with that, a quick google search should help you.  (Look up the make and model of your laptop, with "function keys" included in the search)
