I have had many great teams (or so I thought.) But the question is a little vague I mean you don't specify, do you mean full team or something like single battle or double battle team 
my best full team has probably been a Charizard, a Sceptile, a Rayquaza, a Lucario, a Dragonite and a Ninetails
but my best double battle team is my Lucario and Dragonite backed up by Charizard and Rayquaza 
sadly both can be trounced by a friend of mine who uses a Blissy, an Umbreon , a Polygon-Z, and I don't think I have seen the rest of his team

But to get back on topic my best Pokemon team was in Pokemon Yellow I had pikachu, charizard, blastiose, venasuar, pidgoet, and snorlax.All in all it was a well balanced team and by far my best Pokemon team.

I have a totally dominant team in Pokemon Sapphire. I had a level 80-something Sceptile with a move that happened to kill almost every Pokemon, even fire type, in one hit. Then, I had all these level 20-somethings and level 30-somethings for backup. Yeahhh, I play Pokemon the wrong way by mainly training only one Pokemon. But hey, at least my method works.
