It depends what you put on the sand which it can be fresh if you want it to be or it can be unfresh if you decide to put unhealthy things on the sub I personally live putting veggies on the sand which the more the better.

You also can't lose weight by only eating their subs. Read the fine print on the advertisement. It says something about it only working if you excersise and eat a healthy diet on a daily basis.
