If I play with the default I will keep getting a sticky keys message, and even if I try to set sticky keys off it won't work. Also, it says if a double click will bring up a menu, and it doesn't do anything. Please help....

You cant change the controls. Try using 1964. I think that is what it is called. If you use 1964 to change the controls try double clicking on the game screen and you can change your controls.

Yeah, changing the controls is so easy with 1964, where as in Mupen64plus it is impossible. And if the game says that 1964 has graphical issues, then I guess you have to stomach using mupen64plus.

The Mupern emulator is better suited for using a pc controller. I would use ender and beastmode's ideas unless you are going to get a controller.

No, you don't need a different internet browser to do so. It's just that
most games work on Mupen64 Plus but not all games work on 1964. Plus,
1964 is slower than Mupen64 Plus so I don't use 1964. I don't understand
why the keyboard controls aren't working for you. Like earthwarrior mentioned, you could use a controller, but I can't get a controller to work for my computer. It's pretty complicated to get to use a controller on a computer, so if you have trouble, search on Google and you will get an answer on how to do it.

It's not possible with the RGR Plugin to change the controls for Mupen64Plus for a keyboard... if you have a game controller though, the plugin should automatically detect it for Mupen64Plus, if not, then you could map the keys with either Joy2Key or XPadder programs.

Mupen64Plus does not detect my 360 controller.  Certain games it is the only option and keyboard would be impossible to use and get any enjoyment out of playing so I'm going to try Joy2Key and XPadder.  I'm unfamiliar with them so I hope it's not too difficult.
