In addition to The Dark Knight Rises, there was a great animated adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, which Rises was also partially based on, in addition to Knightfall (the first appearance of Bane, of course).

So Part 2 just came out the other day, and it was phenomenal. The comic is one of the greatest ever written, and they did it justice with both parts, but especially the second. I just wish they could have done it in live action to the same level of closeness to the source material, but that would never fly.

Has anyone else seen it, or has had their curiosity piqued by this thread?
