Hello! I'm known as Acey elsewhere, but here you can just call me Blue. Or Canary, I guess. I like Homestuck a lot, and They Might Be Giants are my favorite band (as if the username wasn't a huge tip off there!). I'm also a huge fan of Pokemon, MLP:FIM (though I'm not one of the creepy fans), and a bunch of other stuff. I like to draw and write, and I play the ukulele.

Nice to meet you!

Thanks!

A quick question...it's not letting me save my layout, or add an avatar or what have you. Is that because I'm new, or is it a glitch? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the board!

I'm also a fellow HomeStuck fan, though the plot lately kind of put me off a little (still reading but not as obsessed until more plot happens I suppose). On this board, you may find LOTS of Pokémon fans of all ages, so you are good on that part, but I have not seen many HomeStuck ones. There is a board for My Little Pony as well, so feel free to check that out (and hopefully they are not creepy over there; never been there myself )

feel free to share your drawings and writings in appropriate forums; there is an artsy section somewhere on this forum. If you click "Board" you should find a whole plethora of forums for you to peruse through.

If you do not mind my asking, what made you decide to learn the ukulele?

I don't mind you asking at all! I decided to learn because I'm a huge Amanda Palmer fan, and it just seemed like a lot of fun. I got one for Christmas of 2011, and I love it...so much fun to play!

Welcome, Blue. We have a lot of Pokemon hacks, and like ruesen said we have and art forum near the rented forums. As for the avatar and layout, check out the "edit profile & settings". If you need any help, pm me, staff or other members. Enjoy. *Bow*

Wow... the ukulele?  How cool is that? It's not often you meet someone who plays one or owns one!

I'm guessing Homestuck is a band or something?

On any case, welcome to vizzed!  If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask me or any other staff member!

Homestuck is a webcomic about kids playing a game. Also, a human (female) makes out with an alien vampire (also female) at one point. There is a running joke regarding pumpkins. Betty Crocker is an alien sea queen. That is all.

Um...... Wow.  LOL  That sounds.... unique.  The aspects you chose to use in its description are just.... fantastic.  hehe.  It sounds very random.  How in the world do you find something like that?  Word of mouth?

Love the description, Blue. Though it is a little more than that.

It is hard to describe the web comic that is Homestuck. Best I can summarize is 4 kids start playing a game that changed their very lives forever, finding out all sorts of things about themselves along with another set of kids (troll aliens, 12 of them). And... things just get really, really spun out of control.

I do not think it is a web comic for you, Singelli, as there is magic (though the web comic keeps stating magic isn't real, there are powers each person gets due to being in the game. Also one or two people have wands that are sort of magic but really, they are science wands shooting energy like a laser gun would), ideas of creating universes... but perhaps best if you check it out first to see if it is something you would want to read into.

The powers range from controlling wind, healing, one is SUSPECTED to be able to revive but, it is not confirmed completely yet, power of seeing into the future as a seer, stealing luck, turning invisible or keeping yourself and allies from being detected, controlling time, controlling space, and... a person has the power of hope that has yet been defined, haha. At the very least, I think this would be borderline magic, if not magic outright. The story is more about having a video game plot than these powers-and expands into more than even a video game, despite constant references to it being one-but they play a part nonetheless.

The comic can be found here: http://www.mspaintadventures.com/

If worried, just look up Homestuck on a wiki or something (mind you may get spoilers into the story) and take a look. Or maybe your husband could look into it as well.

It is VERY random, and I personally heard of it through my blog when I saw people referencing it and another comic the author did. Word of mouth is a popular way to hear of it, but apparently convention goers see HomeStuck cosplayers often.

...and I apologize for that tangent. This is supposed to be about Blue. I don't get to often speak about HomeStuck to people anymore so this was a little bit of an outlet. Let me just say it is a very addicting web-comic to many, haha!

I wouldn't call it "random," but that's just because the word "random" is so often misused that it no longer has any meaning to me and makes me want to punch glass.

There are lots of HS cosplayers at cons...I'm one of them, in fact!

I don't really get why the magic thing would be a huge issue, but whatever. It's definitely not for everyone, as it's not the most accessible comic in the world anyway.

That reminds me: Cosplay is another hobby of mine, though I'm still learning.
