That case is pretty sick dude. I really like it. I have the AMD-FX 6100+ And I gotta say I love it. The 6300 is only better, so you should be able to do great things with it. I don't know if you'll need liquid cooling with that setup, unless you plan to overclock, and, not to judge, but if you don't know how to put a computer together, you probably shouldn't play around with overclocking just yet. Also, you have a liquid cooling system and no coolant... that could cause a problem. If I were you, I'd say just save the money and go with forced air cooling. It's a little big louder (Not noticeable if you keep your tower under your desk) but a lot cheaper.

Be careful with that motherboard. It looks alright, but I personally prefer to have one mini-PCI slot above my PCIe x16 slot, just in case I want to have a sound card or something in there. You don't want anything rubbing up against the fan on your video card, trust me.

The RAM will definitely do you. Unless you intend to do some video editing, or load a lot of "realism" mods in your games, you'll probably never even touch that (I know I never touch my 8 GB). Also, what brand of RAM are you using? There are some brands to avoid, but personally, I love G.SKILL. Just look up any of their RAM sticks and you will see nothing but positive reviews, and for good reason. If you ever have a problem with it, you can call G.SKILL and they'll replace it no questions asked. For my money, G.SKILL cannot be beat.

DO NOT GET THE CRUCIAL M4. Seriously dude, I just bought that SSD back in November, and it was the worst investment I ever made. You'd be better off going with a 5200 rpm off-brand disk from some company nobody's ever heard of. I've seriously seen floppy disks with faster read times than that awful piece of equipment. Save yourself the headache, and get a Samsung, Intel, or G.SKILL SSD. Again, I love G.SKILL, and their prices are pretty competitive. I just bought this drive and it maxes out Windows' SSD rating. Windows boots up in seconds now, and everything is zippy fast.

As for the hard drives, if you can swing it for about the same price, instead of getting a 7200 rpm 2 TB drive, I'd get a 1 TB drive rated at 10,000 rpm, just for the increase in speed. Again, unless you're doing some crazy video work, or have a million mods going, you might be fine with just the 1 TB drive. I'm sitting on a 7200 rpm drive with all my games on it, and sometimes I wish I had splurged on the 10,000 rpm. (If you can afford a 2 TB velociraptor, then by all means...)

Optical drive... You might want Blu Ray. But if you're trying to cut costs, this is definitely the place to do it. You shouldn't pay more than $20 for a DVD burner these days.

Video cards... I don't know Nvidia's numbers off had. I think the 680 is a good card. This doesn't mean much, so take it with a grain of salt, but since you have an AMD CPU, I would personally choose an AMD video card, but that's just mean. In any case, the 680 is a beast. You'll be fine with that.

Keyboard and Mouse. I won't tell you what to get here, because everybody has their own preference. But if you're going to be doing a lot of gaming, make sure you spend a little bit of money on these. Don't go crazy, but these will be your primary interface into the worlds of your games, and you want to to be able to not only withstand your punishment, but to be lightning fast and responsive. I'd say look for a good mechanical keyboard, but some people don't like this. It might be good to go to a local computer shop and try a few keyboards out if you can, just to get the feel for what you like.

Everything else seems pretty standard stuff. If I were you, I'd get a media card reader, just for the convenience. You may not think it, but it actually is easier (And a lot faster) to transfer photos through that than over your camera's (Or phone's) USB port.

Anyway, this rig seems pretty beastly overall. If you can, I'd change that processor (Which is already kind of old) with an FX-8120, which is only about $20 more on Newegg. Out of curiosity, how much are you paying for all of this?

...Wait a minute, are you buying this from IBUYPOWER?

Well, it definitely has enough hardware power to play modern PC games and then some. Lazlo's posts gives you a lot of suggestions to make the configuration more practical... but to answer your initial question, yes. Most people can get away with far less and still run stuff like Skyrim.

I mean 16GB of RAM? I only have 6 and it my RAM usage pretty much never goes about 56% while I'm gaming (although I think certain file/video conversions/compressions tend to take a bit more).

You can probably optimize it a bit so you're not going overkill too. Like Lazlo said, the liquid cooling is a tad unnecessary (though pretty neat).

Also for the video card, you might want to look in getting the ATI equivalent if it's not too costly. ATI cards work better with AMD processors than NVIDIA ones do (and for good reason... they're kinda together).

Now considering a GTX 680 is like a $500+ card anyway... you can probably snag a Raedon 7970 for $100 less. Now it does have a gig less memory but better memory bandwidth as a trade-off.

I've never used Crucial for hard drives before... just for RAM. I wasn't aware they were so bad for your storage purposes, but I'd listen to Lazlo there. I know Kingston is a company to avoid too because they've been known to intentionally short you space due to the fact that people have come to expect to not get exactly the amount advertised anyway... so if you bought a 1TB drive... you might only be getting 900GB or so normally but Kingston will try to get away with as little as 600-700GB on the drive.

Also be careful with Windows 8. If you've never used it before, I would do some research (watch videos of it in use) to see what you're getting into first. You don't want to stick yourself with an OS you'll end up hating and that one is definitely not for everyone.

Wow! I don't know what to say. So much info from both you Lazlo! And Crazy! But I will say that I'm not buying from ibuypower. I heard a lot of terrible things about them and I don't want to take that risk. I'm going to buy from IronsideComputers. I heard good things about them. Heres the link if you wanna look at it: http://ironsidecomputers.com/ Also I forgot to mention that I also want to be able to record games such as Skyrim, etc. I can't say I know a lot about PC parts so I'm kinda in the dark about what works with what and what actually works at all.
