As some of you know, the Sacramento Kings are on route to being sold to some Seattle group. This will be what I assume will be the fifth city they've been in dating back to the beginning of the NBA. They went from Rochester Royals to Cincinnati Royals to Kansas City Kings to Sacramento Kings. If they move will they stay the Kings or revert to the Royals or become the new Sonics?

I haven't researched this, but I'm pretty sure the "Thunder" own the naming rights to the Supersonics name...so I believe they will either stay the "Kings" which actually fits Seattle Nicely since they are in "King" county.

Honestly though they will probably be renamed at some point.

I think it would be great for them to be renamed the supersonics again, just for the city of Seattle.  However, it is likely they will stay the logs in my opinion, because copyrighted team stuff, etc.
