For me it was the Blue Shell in New Super Mario Brothers....... I swear I thought using that thing was so fun but I died so many times by sliding off of cliffs......

mine was also the blue shell. when you are sliding in the blue shell you are invinsible but you can just fall off a cliff easily but when i fall i freak out and start pressing A rapidly then it makes mario wall jump and them i am still alive

And I wouldn't exactly call the Poison Mushroom a power-up, so the winner is the Tanooki Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3. Whenever I tried using the statue, it would run out right when the enemy was passing me. And it looked so much more ridiculous than the normal Raccoon Mario, so it was just ripping me off.

The one power-up that always screws me over and the one that I absolutely HATE with all my guts is the Spring Mario from Super Mario Galaxy. That thing is a pain to control, especially in some situations when you have to be fast with it. I was really glad they decided to give that power-up a "special appearance" treatment in SMG 2. I just hate that thing.

1. It hits a wall, reflects against it and blows me up.
2. It lands and misses the opponent, and then I get blown up.
3. I throw and misaim my shot.
4. I blow up the opponent.

It's still kind of hard for me to control penguin Mario, but I remember back in the day when I played Super Mario World I would usually try to keep a feather up top in the box and it always pissed me off when mushrooms ran into me and replaced my feather.
