One year and two days ago, I first registered my account here on Vizzed. I'm not certain what date it was that I first found Vizzed, because I didn't sign up right away. I joined Vizzed at a very dark time in my life. I had a bad job that I hated, and terrible bosses, but was under contract (And in fact, still am--but I'm getting out of the contract and that's not the point). Even in the short year I've been here, the changes have been dramatic. Leggy said that last year we had the most turnover in mods ever, and that's even more true now than it was when he said it.

Vizzed got me back into my love of the Internet. It reminded me of how was before I became jaded to things like Facebook and Chans and blogs. A time when the Internet was pure. I came with a helpful demeanor, talked to everyone who would talk to me, and quickly became Trusted--and at the time I was the fastest member to have ever become Trusted. It was also the first Tour de Vizzed when I joined. I came in Second or Third in all Jerseys, and won the White Badge, without even spamming! Of course, the competition wasn't as stiff then.

It wasn't long after I joined that I saw an opening for a Local Moderator. I wasn't well known enough to get it, I knew, but I thought I'd throw my hat in anyway, and of course I wasn't picked. But two months later, someone else quit the staff, and I was hired on to moderate the Computers, Cafe Corner, and Cartoons forums. As time went on, I gained more forums, and eventually became a Global Moderator.

As time wore on, I've started my own side projects, which flourished thanks to many users on Vizzed, and actually helped me reconnect with some old friends. I haven't been around a lot lately, because my life is kind of spiraling out of control with work right now, but with Leggy gone, I have some pretty big shoes to fill, and I promise that as soon as I can get back into it, I'll put in the level of effort that got me here in the first place.

Vizzed has done some great things for me in the short time I've been here, and I want to do some great things for Vizzed. This year has been tumultuous both for me and the board, but I think together we can pull it out. 2013 will be a great year for me, I think, and I hope I can help make it a great year for Vizzed.

Has it really been a year?

A year ago today, I had no idea what things would be like now. I also was kind if just getting started as a global (promoted in November).

But I was still looking for my future replacement. Because I knew I wouldn't stay forever. Luckily, I found not one, but two. And thankfully, I think I put things in the right hands

Wow. I know where you are coming from. I am really stressed right now, with in processing into my unit and duty station here on Ohua. I have a lot going on, not to mention the past year or so.

One year? Already?

It feels like it was yesterday when I saw you the first time, posting, and with a green name. 

Now you're a Global mod... Congrats, Lazlo. Keep growing and someday you'll be famous as Leggy.

Congrats on your first year, Lazlo. When you showed up I had been inactive for a few months. But thanks to school, I was getting pretty bored and I had some time that I didn't know what to do with. Your posts caught my attention when I came back to take a peek at the site that had helped me pass some time during my freshman year, and I enjoyed them quite a bit. It made me want to get to know the people you brought along with you and I don't regret it. I've loved talking to you guys and playing games with you, and I'm glad to have been able to meet you.

You might be surprised to find out how many of us found this place when we were hitting our low points, and it is a bit funny how, for some of us, it started with the video games. We are very glad you have been a part of this community, Lazlo. Cheers.

Hard to believe its been a year already. I still remember when you had the White Banner for the TDV last year.

Well, congrats on the successful year Lazlo. Getting a Global position in less than a year is pretty quick. Hope you stay for another year, bro.

Wow, you've accomplished a lot in a year. Congratulations. I hope my first year will be as productive as yours.

It's also great to hear that things started looking up for you after you got involved with Vizzed.

Well it certainly has been an amazing year... Especially for you!

Let's hope that we can try to keep hold of a regular set of moderators without having to change it every month or so... Trust me I've been on Vizzed for a while and I've never seen the role of moderator passed around so much... 

Anyways let's hope this year is as great as 2012... You will always have the support of this expendable crew member...
